The Epley Maneuver
This is the most common exercise for BPPV. It involves a series of specific head tilts:
- Sit on the edge of your bed and turn your head 45 degrees toward the side causing vertigo.
- Quickly lie back with your head still turned, letting your head hang slightly off the edge of the bed. Stay for 30 seconds.
- Turn your head 90 degrees to the opposite side without lifting it. Stay for 30 seconds.
- Roll your body onto your side so you are looking at the floor. Stay for 30 seconds.
- Sit up slowly.
Note: It is highly recommended to have a healthcare professional or physiotherapist guide you through this the first time to ensure the angle is precise.
